Welcome to Restock Kitchen ("the Service"), available at restock.kitchen. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

Restock Kitchen is a household inventory tool: it helps you keep track of items in your freezer and pantry, share that list with members of your household, and receive optional reminders. The Service is provided free of charge and "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time.

2. Not food-safety advice

Restock Kitchen's dates, age badges, and reminders are informational conveniences only. They are based solely on data you enter and are not food-safety guidance. We make no representation about whether any food is safe to eat, and you are solely responsible for judging the freshness and safety of your food. When in doubt, throw it out.

3. Your account and household

You must provide a valid email address and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Items, photos, and lists you add are visible to every member of your household, and household members can add, change, or delete them. Share your household invite code only with people you trust.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to access other households' data, uploading unlawful or infringing content, sending spam through referral or notification features, or interfering with the Service's operation. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Your data and privacy

We store the information you provide (email address, household name, inventory items, and photos) solely to operate the Service. We do not sell your data. Emails we send are transactional (account confirmation, password resets, invitations you request, and feedback you submit). Push notifications are sent only if you enable them and can be turned off at any time. You may stop using the Service at any time; contact us to request deletion of your account and data.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of Restock Kitchen shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including but not limited to loss of data, spoiled or unsafe food, illness, missed notifications, or loss of profits — arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us to use it (currently: zero dollars).

7. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operators of Restock Kitchen from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these terms.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes may be announced in the app.
